Financials and annual reports
VoteAmerica is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit. Posting our financial documents publicly is part of our commitment to financial transparency. We hope that these documents underscore how carefully we steward the donations we have been fortunate to receive, and the deep impact of every dollar we spend. VoteAmerica was incorporated in November 2019 and received our tax-exempt status from the IRS in June 2020. For most of 2020, we were fiscally-sponsored by an organization named Democracy Builders Fund (DBF). For that reason, a majority of the donations we received in 2020 are reflected on the DBF Form 990, not the VoteAmerica Form 990.
